The Girls' Deluxe Enid Sinclair Costume Brings Nevermore's Sunniest Student to Halloween in Five Pieces

  • Ethan Montgomery

When Netflix's Wednesday premiered on November 23, 2022, it was supposed to be a show about the gloomiest girl in fiction. Then Wednesday met her roommate. Enid Sinclair, played by Emma Myers, is a werewolf who hasn't fully turned yet, decorates her half of the dorm room in every color Wednesday hates and hugs people without asking first. The two of them became the heart of the show. Season 1 logged a record 341 million viewing hours in its first week, Season 2 arrived in two parts in August and September 2025, and Season 3 began filming in February. And at Halloween, Enid has become just as popular as Wednesday, especially with kids who'd rather wear purple than black. HalloweenCostumes.com sells a Girl's Deluxe Nevermore Academy Enid Sinclair Wednesday Costume under its own FUN Costumes label, and right now it's on sale for $49.99, down from $69.99.

That's a five-piece school uniform for $50, which is a lot of costume for the price. Here's what's in the bag, how the sizes work, what to add for Enid's hair and her werewolf side and how to pair her with a Wednesday.

Who Enid is

Enid is Wednesday's opposite in almost every way. Wednesday is cold and sarcastic, and always in black. Enid is warm and chatty, and dressed in whatever is brightest. She has blonde hair with streaks of color, she loves social media and she's a werewolf who struggles to "wolf out," which is a big deal in her family.

This costume plays up that difference. Wednesday's version of the striped Nevermore blazer is black and gray. Enid's costume goes purple and black. It's the same uniform with a completely different personality, and that's why the two of them look so good side by side.

The costume's listing describes it as "part prep school, part pack pride," which sums up Enid pretty well.

What's in the bag

The Deluxe Enid costume (item FUN96069CH) is officially licensed and part of the site's "Made By Us" line. It includes five pieces: a striped jacket, a vest, a button-down shirt, a pleated skirt and a tie.

The jacket is a purple-and-black striped woven poly-cotton, with a gold-embroidered Nevermore Academy crest on the chest. The crest is embroidered, not printed, which gives it a more finished look up close.

The vest is a purple sweater knit, 99% polyester and 1% spandex, so it has a little stretch. It pulls on over the shirt.

The shirt is a white button-front, 80% polyester and 20% cotton. The cotton makes it softer and more breathable than an all-polyester costume shirt.

The skirt matches the jacket, with purple and black stripes and pleats, and it has an elastic waistband. The tie is black twill and closes with hook-and-loop, so there's no knot to tie and no struggle in the morning.

Five separate pieces mean your kid can wear them in different combinations. On a warm night, skip the jacket. On a cold one, the jacket and vest together add warmth. And after Halloween, the white shirt and the skirt can easily become part of a school outfit or a dress-up box.

How the sizes work

The costume comes in four sizes, from Small up to X-Large. The chart doesn't list ages, heights or weights, but it gives detailed measurements for each piece.

For the shirt, the chest runs from 29 inches on the Small to 31, 34 and 37.5 inches on the X-Large. The sleeve goes from 16.75 to 20.5 inches. And the shirt length is short, from 16 to 17.5 inches, since it's meant to be tucked into the skirt.

For the vest, the chest runs from 27 to 35.5 inches, and the length from 13.5 to 15 inches.

For the jacket, the chest runs from 30 to 38.5 inches, the sleeve from 17.25 to 21 inches and the length from 20.5 to 22 inches.

And for the skirt, the waist is elastic, with a wide range: 20 to 27 inches on the Small, 22 to 29 on the Medium, 25 to 32 on the Large and 28.5 to 35.5 on the X-Large. The skirt length goes from 23.75 to 28 inches.

What to look for

Since there's no age or height on the chart, measure your kid's chest and waist, and compare them to the shirt and jacket chest and the skirt waist range.

The chest is the number to focus on. The skirt's elastic waist covers a wide range, so it'll fit across a lot of body types. The shirt and jacket don't stretch much, so they decide the size.

Remember that these are the measurements of the clothes, not the body. A 29-inch shirt chest on the Small will fit a kid with a chest a bit smaller than that, so there's room to move. If your kid is between sizes, go up. A jacket that's a little roomy looks fine with the sleeves pushed up. A jacket that's too tight won't close over the vest.

Check the skirt length too. At 23.75 to 28 inches, it's a knee-length skirt on most kids. If your child is tall for their size, it may sit a little above the knee. Tights or leggings underneath help.

Enid's hair

Enid's hair is half her look. It's blonde, usually worn down with waves, and in the show it has streaks of pink and blue.

The site recommends a Women's Wednesday Enid Blonde Wig for $24.99. Note that it's a women's wig. Adult wigs can work on older kids, since many have adjustable caps, but they may be a little loose on younger children. A few bobby pins help keep it in place.

If your kid has long hair, you can skip the wig. Washable colored hair spray in pink or blue, sprayed onto a few strands, gets you close for a few dollars. Do a test the day before so you know how it washes out.

Bringing out the werewolf

Enid spends most of Season 1 worried she'll never wolf out, and when she finally does, it's a big moment. So a few werewolf touches are a fun way to finish the costume.

The simplest option is a pair of costume claws or a set of colorful fake nails. Enid's nails are always bright, and in werewolf form, they turn into claws. A little bit of face paint, like a few whisker lines or a dusting of fur texture on the cheeks, also works.

The site also suggests Graftobian Deluxe Black Makeup for $19.99, which can help with darker details.

For a full transformation, look at the site's kids' wolf ears and tails. A wolf tail clipped to the back of the skirt is an easy, funny nod to Enid's werewolf side.

Shoes and extras

The listing says the wig and tights are sold separately, and so are shoes.

For tights, the site recommends Girls Opaque White Tights for $0.99 to $1.49 or Girl's Deluxe White Tights for $7.99. White tights look sharp with the purple uniform. And for shoes, Girls Black Gogo Boots cost $34.99 to $39.99. Black Mary Janes or school shoes from home work just as well.

For extras, there's a Netflix Wednesday Iron On Patch Set for $5.99, a Nevermore Academy Dorm Costume Companion bag for $29.99 and a Wednesday Thing Shoulder Sitter for $39.99. Thing is Wednesday's helper in the show, but he lives in the same dorm room, so he works for either girl.

Making it a Wednesday pair

Enid really shines next to a Wednesday. The matching Girl's Deluxe Nevermore Academy Wednesday Costume is from the same FUN Costumes line and costs $69.99. It includes the same five pieces, a shirt, vest, blazer, skirt and tie, in Wednesday's black-and-gray stripes, with the same embroidered crest.

So a sister or best-friend pair costs $119.98, with Enid on sale. That's a great deal for two matching licensed uniforms.

There's one detail worth knowing. The Wednesday costume's Small blazer has a 30-inch chest and the X-Large has 38.5 inches, the same as Enid's jacket. So the two costumes use the same sizing, which makes buying for two kids at once a lot easier.

For a parent who wants to join, the site sells a Deluxe Nevermore Academy Enid Sinclair Wednesday Costume for adults, on sale for $59.99, and a Plus Size Deluxe Nevermore Academy Enid Sinclair Costume on sale for $69.99. A mom-and-daughter Enid pair would be very cute, and very Enid.

How to wear it like Enid

A uniform can look stiff, and Enid is anything but stiff. So it helps to style it a little.

Tuck the shirt into the skirt first. The shirt is short, at 16 to 17.5 inches, so it stays tucked better than a long one. Then pull the vest on over it and fasten the tie under the collar. Leave the jacket open. Enid rarely looks buttoned up, and an open jacket shows off the purple vest.

Next, add color. In the show, Enid's dorm side is covered in rainbows, and her accessories follow suit. A bright scrunchie or a couple of colorful hair clips go a long way. So does a pastel backpack instead of a candy bag.

And let your kid be loud about it. Enid waves, talks and hugs. If your Enid runs up to every door with a big smile, she's playing the part perfectly.

Care

The costume uses polyester and poly-cotton fabrics, plus an embroidered crest. To keep the stripes bright and the crest neat, wash the pieces gently in cold water and hang them to dry. The sweater-knit vest is the piece most likely to stretch or pill, so lay it flat to dry if you can.

Since kids tend to wear Nevermore uniforms well after Halloween, a little extra care will help it last.

What it costs

The costume is $49.99 on sale. Add the $24.99 Enid wig and a pair of $0.99 to $1.49 white tights, and the full look comes to about $76.

If you skip the wig and use colored hair spray and shoes from home, you can keep it close to $55. And a Wednesday-and-Enid pair, with no extras, comes to $119.98.

Summary

The Girl's Deluxe Nevermore Academy Enid Sinclair Wednesday Costume from FUN Costumes is a five-piece uniform with a purple-and-black striped jacket, a purple sweater vest, a white shirt, a pleated skirt and a black tie, on sale for $49.99. It has an embroidered crest and an elastic skirt waist, and it comes in four kids' sizes with detailed measurements for each piece. Add a blonde wig or colored hair spray to finish the look, plus white tights and black shoes, and pair it with the matching Wednesday costume for $69.99.

So, is it worth it?

Yes, especially at the sale price. Five pieces for $49.99 is a strong deal, and the embroidered crest and sweater-knit vest make it look like a real school uniform, not a printed costume. It's also one of the easiest Halloween looks to wear all night, since it's basically a school outfit.

I'll admit I like that Enid is the cheaper of the two Nevermore costumes right now. In the show, she's the one who brings the color and the fun, and here she brings the savings too.

So measure your kid's chest, check the jacket size and size up if they're in between. Pick a wig or some colored hair spray, add white tights and black shoes and maybe a pair of bright claws. Then send your Enid out with her Wednesday. One of them will smile at every door. The other one won't, and that's exactly the point.
