Fortnite Peely

Of all the soldiers, superheroes, rappers and Star Wars characters who've shown up in Fortnite since 2017, one of the most loved is a banana. Peely is a tall, smiling banana with legs and a very relaxed attitude, and he's been a fan favorite since he arrived in 2019. He's appeared in so many versions over the years, from a Roman gladiator to a skeleton, that he's basically become one of the game's mascots. For a lot of kids, being Peely is funnier than being anyone else, and it doesn't hurt that he's instantly recognizable even to people who've never played the game. HalloweenCostumes.com sells a Kid's Fortnite Peely Costume by InSpirit for $39.99.

That's one of the cheaper Fortnite costumes on the site, and it's a single foam jumpsuit, so there's nothing to lose and nothing to assemble.

There are no reviews for this exact costume on HalloweenCostumes.com yet. But InSpirit's Peely costumes are sold elsewhere too, and the site's Potassius Peels costume, a Roman-style Peely, has a couple of honest reviews from parents. So this review covers what's in the bag, the sizing issue you need to know about, and what other buyers said.

What's in the bag

The Peely costume (item ISP105072) includes one piece: a jumpsuit. It's made of polyester fibers, with a foam and poly knit construction.

The jumpsuit has sewn-in sleeves and pant legs, so it's all one piece. The listing describes it as delivering "that full, rounded banana silhouette," which is the most important part. Peely isn't just yellow. He's round and puffy, and the foam gives the costume that shape.

A shopper asked in the Q&A whether it's a two-piece costume, and the answer was clear: "The costume is one piece. The jumpsuit is the banana, built as a single foam and poly knit suit."

That design has a real advantage for kids. The listing says "the whole look stays together without any fussing or readjusting," and that's true of one-piece costumes in general. There's no tunic sliding around or pants falling down.

The face is part of the suit, with mesh fabric over the eyes. The listing says the mesh eyes "have limited vision." That's typical for a costume where the face is built into the body, but it's worth knowing for trick-or-treating in the dark. Keep a flashlight handy, and walk with younger kids.

The size gap

This is the most important thing in the whole review. The Peely costume comes in three sizes: Small, Large and X-Large. There's no Medium.

Small fits kids 39 to 46 inches tall. Large fits kids 54 to 58 inches tall. X-Large fits kids 59 to 62 inches tall.

So there's nothing for kids between 46 and 54 inches. That's a big gap, about 8 inches, and it covers a lot of kids in the 6 to 9 age range. If your kid falls in that range, they're either too tall for the Small or too short for the Large.

If your kid is in the gap, here's what to think about. Going down to the Small will probably be too short in the body and legs for a one-piece suit, and it'll pull every time they move. Going up to the Large will be long, but since the costume is a round banana shape anyway, a little extra length is easier to live with than a suit that's too tight. You can roll the pant legs or tuck them into socks.

The listing also doesn't give chest, waist or inseam measurements, only height ranges. So for a foam costume that's supposed to be round, you're mostly guessing on width. The good news is that "rounded banana silhouette" means it's designed to be roomy.

At the top end, the X-Large goes up to 62 inches, about 5'2". That's taller than most kids' Fortnite costumes on the site, so it's a good option for tall tweens who still want to be the banana.

What other Peely buyers say

There are no reviews on HalloweenCostumes.com for this costume yet. But Walmart sells an InSpirit Designs Fortnite Peely costume too, and that one has 16 ratings and a 4.7-star average, with 88% five stars.

It's worth being careful here, though. The Walmart listing describes a two-piece Peely, with a foam tunic with mesh eyes and pull-on pants, and it comes in Small, Medium, Large and X-Large. That's a different version from the one-piece jumpsuit on HalloweenCostumes.com. So its reviews don't tell you exactly how this costume fits.

The two written reviews on Walmart, both from September 2026, are short. Nicole gave it five stars, titled "Super cute." Megan gave it five stars, titled "Son loved it." Both bought a Medium.

That Walmart version is also cheaper, at $28.97, and it has the Medium that HalloweenCostumes.com's version is missing. If your kid falls into the size gap, the two-piece is worth a look.

The Roman banana

HalloweenCostumes.com also sells a Fortnite Potassius Peels Costume for Kids (item ISP105452), the Roman-style Peely, by InSpirit. It's a bigger, more detailed costume with five pieces: a tunic, pants, a belt, a cape and a full-head mask. The tunic and pants are 95% polyester and 5% spandex, and the tunic has foam backing and printed graphics. Sizes S through L cost $54.99, and XL costs $59.99. It comes in Small through X-Large for kids about 6 to 16, including a Medium.

It has two reviews and a 4.5-star average, and they're helpful. Haley gave it five stars, titled "Son loves this." "My son has been begging to do this for years. It is well made. The belt is way too big, nothing a few safety pins can't fix. My son is so happy in this and says it's the one mask that doesn't bug his nose!"

Sarah gave it four stars after buying an X-Large for her 9-year-old. "Everything fit my 9 year old son perfect and it was exactly what he wanted so no complaints there. However the cape was way too big for the actual outfit. Definitely needs to be sewn on or use safety pins. The Velcro doesn't match up so there was a lot hanging down and kept falling off from the weight of it."

So the Roman Peely gets good marks for quality and for a mask that's comfortable, with some fiddling needed for the belt and cape. It costs $15 to $20 more than the basic Peely. If your kid wants the classic banana, the $39.99 one is simpler. If they want the gladiator version, Potassius Peels is the one, and it comes in a Medium.

Living in a banana for a night

A foam jumpsuit is a different experience from a regular costume, and it helps to know what you're signing up for before the big night.

Foam is warm. That's great on a chilly October evening, when a lot of costumes leave kids shivering by the fourth house. It's less great at a school party in a heated gym, where a full foam suit can feel like a sleeping bag. If your kid runs hot, keep the layers underneath thin, like a T-shirt and shorts, and plan a break or two where they can step outside.

Foam is also wide. Peely is supposed to be round, and that's the whole joke, but it means doorways, car seats and crowded hallways take a little more planning. Getting buckled into a booster seat in a foam banana is its own small adventure. Some parents just bring the costume along and put it on at the first stop.

And since the costume is one piece, bathroom breaks take more time. With sewn-in sleeves and legs, there's no quick fix, so a stop before you leave the house is a good idea. Younger kids may need a hand getting in and out.

None of this is a reason to skip it. It's just the trade-off for looking like an actual banana instead of a kid in a yellow shirt. Most kids think that's worth it, and honestly, so would I.

What to add

The Peely costume is complete on its own, but a few props make it more fun.

The Fortnite Boogie Bomb Accessory costs $14.99. It's a plastic prop about 3 inches across that "Lights up & plays music when lever is pressed," just like the in-game item that makes other players dance. It takes three AAA batteries, and demo batteries are included, though you'll need a Phillips-head screwdriver to change them. The listing jokes that it's "guaranteed to cause everyone around you to keep dancing until they drop dead," which is a little dark for a toy but very accurate to the game.

The product page also suggests a banana trick-or-treat bag, which is a perfect match. A banana collecting candy in a banana bag is the kind of joke kids love.

For shoes, yellow sneakers are ideal, but any sneakers will do. And if it's a cold night, a long-sleeve shirt and leggings under the jumpsuit will keep your kid warm without changing the look.

Making it a squad

Fortnite is a team game, and HalloweenCostumes.com sells a big lineup of InSpirit Fortnite costumes for friends and siblings. There's a Kid's Fortnite Fishstick Costume for $59.99, a Fortnite Kid's Skull Trooper Costume for $39.99 to $49.99, a Kid's Fortnite Drift Costume for $39.99 to $49.99, a Kid's Fortnite The Brat Costume for $39.99 and a Kid's Fortnite Grimey Costume for $39.99 to $49.99.

Fishstick and Peely together are a classic combo, since both are goofy food-themed skins. A squad of four, with Peely, Fishstick, Skull Trooper and Drift, would look like it walked straight out of a victory royale.

Summary

The Kid's Fortnite Peely Costume from InSpirit is a one-piece foam and poly knit jumpsuit with sewn-in sleeves and legs and mesh eyes, for $39.99. It has no reviews yet, but it's simple, cheap and recognizable. The biggest issue is sizing, with only Small, Large and X-Large available, leaving no option for kids between 46 and 54 inches tall. For those kids, the two-piece InSpirit Peely sold elsewhere or the Potassius Peels costume, both with a Medium, are worth a look.

So, is it worth it?

If your kid fits the Small, Large or X-Large, yes. At $39.99, it's an easy, low-fuss costume that turns them into the most cheerful banana in Fortnite, and the one-piece design means less fixing and adjusting during the night.

I'll admit the missing Medium surprised me. It's the size a lot of Fortnite fans need, and it's a big gap to leave open. If your kid is in that range, I'd skip this version and look at the two-piece Peely or the Roman one instead.

So measure your kid's height before you order. Add a Boogie Bomb if they want to make everyone dance, and grab a banana treat bag if you can. Then get ready for a lot of emotes. Every Peely knows that the real goal of the night isn't candy. It's doing the floss on every porch until someone laughs.
