When Wednesday landed on Netflix in November 2022, the most memorable relationship in the show wasn't a romance. It was a dorm room split right down the middle. One half was black and suspicious of sunlight. The other half was pink, glittery, loud and covered in stuffed animals. Wednesday Addams and Enid Sinclair were the odd couple of Nevermore Academy, and after a second season in 2025, they're one of the best friend duos you can wear for Halloween. It works for sisters, roommates or a mom and daughter who both know every step of the Wednesday dance from TikTok. HalloweenCostumes.com sells both: a Women's Wednesday Nevermore costume on sale for $34.99, down from $49.99, and a Deluxe Nevermore Academy Enid Sinclair costume for $59.99, down from $79.99.

That brings the pair to $94.98. Add a wig for each and you're at $139.96, which is still less than a lot of people spend on a single themed night out once the Ubers and the drinks are counted.

The two costumes are built very differently, though. One is a two-piece that leaves you to find a shirt. The other is a five-piece uniform with the shirt, vest and tie already in the bag. And while the Wednesday costume has a few happy reviews, the Enid costume doesn't have any yet. So here's what's in each box and how they fit, plus what the wig buyers had to say.

Wednesday, dressed like she refused the school colors

In the show, every Nevermore student wears the purple-striped uniform except Wednesday, who gets a black-and-gray version because apparently even the dress code was scared to argue with her. The Wednesday Nevermore costume (item AM8410611) copies that look. The listing describes it as the "signature black and grey striped jacket, designed to look just like the Nevermore Academy uniform from the Netflix series."

It comes with two pieces: a blazer and a skirt. The blazer has a sublimated striped print, a button closure, pocket details on the front and a Nevermore emblem on the chest. The skirt is pleated, uses the same printed stripes and has an elastic waistband. Both are made of polyester.

That's the whole set. There's no shirt and no wig, and you're on your own for tights. You'll need a white collared shirt underneath, and it matters more than you'd think, because without it the blazer just looks like a striped jacket you bought for a job interview at a haunted bank. A plain white button-down from Target or H&M will do the job. Dark tights and black shoes finish the look, along with the facial expression of someone who's never laughed in her life.

The stripes are printed, not woven, which is how the price stays at $34.99. From a few feet away, nobody will notice. Up close, a woven fabric usually looks richer. For a party or a trick or treat, printed is fine.

How the Wednesday costume is sized

The Wednesday costume uses a different kind of size chart from most of the site's Made By Us costumes. Along with chest and waist, it lists a maximum height and weight for each size.

X-Small is a 32-inch chest and 25-inch waist, for people up to 5'8" and 125 pounds. Small is 34 and 27.5 inches, up to 5'8" and 135 pounds. Medium is 36 and 29.5 inches, up to 5'8" and 145 pounds. Large jumps to a 39-inch chest and 32.5-inch waist for people up to 5'10" and 165 pounds. X-Large is 42 and 35.5 inches, up to 5'10" and 180 pounds.

The elastic waist on the skirt makes that part forgiving. The blazer is the piece to measure for, since it has buttons and doesn't stretch. If you're taller than 5'10", this one may run short in the sleeves or the skirt, and the chart doesn't offer anything bigger than X-Large.

What Wednesday buyers are saying

The Wednesday costume has three reviews, all five stars. They're short, but they agree.

Ellen Cooper kept it to four words: "Great costume. Well made." Iris Nortov wrote, "The costume is very high quality and came well packaged. Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend."

The most useful one is from Dee F., who titled her review "Many compliments!!" and clearly had a great night: "I was please with everything about this costume. My size was available. I will go smaller next time. The delivery was great on time!! I was a hit at the party. Can't wait for next year!"

That "I will go smaller next time" is the line to pay attention to. With only three reviews it's hard to call it a trend, but it suggests the Wednesday costume may run a little big. If you're between two sizes, the smaller one looks like the safer pick, especially since the skirt stretches anyway.

Wednesday's wig is where the complaints start

Wednesday's twin braids are half the character. HalloweenCostumes.com recommends a Women's Wednesday Black Costume Wig (item AM8410623) that's on sale for $19.99, down from $29.99. It's made of polyester fibers, comes pre-styled with two braids and a center part, and has a breathable mesh cap with an elastic band. One size fits most adults.

It has four reviews, and they split two and two.

The good ones are short. Julie wrote, "Looks great. Easy to put on." Iris Nortov, the same buyer who reviewed the costume, said, "The delivery arrived very quickly. The wig is very high quality and came well packaged."

The bad ones are detailed, and both are about size. Leigh titled her review "Does Not Fit Average Size Woman's Head" and wrote, "It says it is adjustable, but I had it open as wide as it goes and it did not fit my head." She also wasn't happy with the look: "Also the bangs are off - they don't really look like Wednesday's bangs." Liz was even blunter: "This wig is absolutely terrible. Not worth the money. Too small for my 13 year old's head, and super shiny."

When two out of four reviewers say a one-size wig is too small, that's worth listening to. If you have long or thick hair, plan on a tight wig cap underneath, or skip the wig and braid your own hair. Wednesday would probably approve of the do-it-yourself option. She doesn't seem like someone who trusts anything from a store.

Enid comes fully dressed

The Deluxe Nevermore Academy Enid Sinclair costume (item FUN96069AD) is the more complete set by a wide margin. It comes with five pieces, from the blazer down to the tie. It's a Made By Us design and officially licensed.

The jacket is the purple-and-black striped blazer from the show, in sturdy woven poly-cotton with a 100% polyester body and an embroidered Nevermore crest. The site's sister store Halloween.com says the crest uses golden thread. Under it goes a white poly broadcloth shirt with a button-down front, in an 80% polyester and 20% cotton blend. The vest is a violet sweater knit that pulls over your head, 99% polyester and 1% spandex. The skirt is pleated with the same stripes as the jacket and an elastic waistband. The tie is black and closes with hook-and-loop, so no knot tutorials on YouTube are required.

The listing describes the whole thing as "sparkles, stripes, and a hint of claws," which is a nice nod to the fact that Enid is a werewolf who took an entire season to finally wolf out. Halloween.com calls her "everyone's favorite pastel-loving werewolf," which is hard to argue with.

Note that the listing says "wig, tights and accessories sold separately." So the uniform is complete, but Enid's color and sparkle are up to you.

How the Enid costume is sized

Enid comes in Small, Medium, Large and X-Large, with plus sizes and a girls' version sold separately. The size chart is much more detailed than Wednesday's and lists every piece.

The jacket chest runs from 37 inches on a Small to 39 on a Medium, 42 on a Large and 45½ on an X-Large. Jacket waist goes from 32 to 40½ inches, and jacket length from 26¼ to 28 inches. The shirt chest is a little smaller than the jacket in each size, from 35 inches on a Small to 43½ on an X-Large, and the vest falls in between.

The skirt waist has a huge range thanks to the elastic: 23 to 36 inches on the Small, up to 31½ to 44½ inches on the X-Large. Skirt length goes from 33 to 34½ inches, which is longer than you might expect for a school uniform skirt and should hit around the knee or below on most people. The tie is 14¾ inches long in every size.

With so many pieces, the jacket is the one to size for. Everything else either stretches or layers underneath it.

Nobody has reviewed Enid yet

Here's the catch. The Enid costume has no reviews and no questions on HalloweenCostumes.com, and the same goes for Halloween.com. So there's no buyer feedback yet on fit or on how the vest feels after a few hours.

What you can go on is the product details and that very detailed size chart, which at least means you won't be guessing at measurements. As always with a costume that has no reviews, open the package when it arrives, check that all five pieces are there and try everything on before the big night.

Enid's hair, in two colors

Enid's hair is her whole personality in one look: blonde, wavy and dipped in pastel. The Women's Wednesday Enid Blonde Costume Wig (item FUN96533AD) is on sale for $24.99, down from $29.99. It has shoulder-length blonde waves that fade into pastel pink on one side and pastel blue on the other side. It's soft synthetic fiber, lightweight, and the cap has an elastic edge for heads from 18 to 24 inches around. It's recommended for ages 14 and up.

The listing says it comes pre-shaped but suggests "finger-combing or a brush" to get it looking its best right out of the package. That's honest advice. Every costume wig looks a little flat the first time you pull it out of the bag, like it just woke up from a very long nap.

There are no reviews on this wig yet either. If the Wednesday wig reviews are any sign, head size is the thing to watch, and a snug wig cap is a good idea before putting it on.

Summary

The Wednesday Nevermore costume is a simple, cheap two-piece of blazer and skirt with printed stripes and three short, positive reviews, one of which suggests sizing down. You'll need your own white shirt. The Enid Sinclair costume is a much fuller five-piece uniform with an embroidered crest and a proper shirt and vest, but it has no reviews yet. So, is the Nevermore duo worth it?

For most pairs of friends, yes. At $94.98, you're getting two costumes people will recognize instantly, especially anyone who's watched the show or seen the dance on their For You page. The Wednesday costume is a good deal at $34.99, as long as you already own a white shirt. The Enid set costs more, but it comes with everything you need to look like a student, which makes up for the difference.

I'll admit the lack of Enid reviews makes me a little cautious. A five-piece costume with zero feedback is a leap of faith, even when the details look right. I'd also think twice about the Wednesday wig, since the two negative reviews are specific and both about size.

So here's the plan. Order early. Check all five Enid pieces the day they arrive. Get a white shirt and some black tights for Wednesday, and if the wig doesn't fit, braid your own hair and call it method acting. Then split the room at the party right down the middle, just like the dorm. One of you gets the snacks and the glitter. The other one gets the corner and the judgmental stare.
