Overwatch Champions Series Stage One Concludes: Top Teams Secure Champions Clash Spots

The Overwatch Champions Series has just wrapped up its first stage for the EMEA and North American regions, marking an exciting milestone in the 2025 competition. After several intense weeks of gameplay, the top teams have been determined, with a total of eight teams securing their spots for the Champions Clash event.

In the EMEA bracket, Virtus.pro emerged as the champions, triumphing over Al Qadsiah in the grand showdown with a score of 4-2. This victory ensures that both teams have earned their places in the upcoming Champions Clash. Alongside them, The Ultimates, Twisted Minds, Gen.G Esports, and Team Peps will also advance to Stage 2 in the future. Meanwhile, Team Vision and Sakura Esports will have to defend their standings in the OWCS through the Relegation matches.

Turning to North America, NTMR demonstrated their strength by defeating Spacestation Gaming in their final match, also with a score of 4-2. This win guarantees that both NTMR and Spacestation Gaming will participate in the Champions Clash and move forward to Stage 2 of the OWCS. Additional teams joining them include Team Liquid, Timeless, Avidity, and Rad Esports. However, Shikigami and Amplify will find themselves in a contest for survival in the top division as they prepare for the Relegation matches.

In addition to these teams, the Champions Clash will also feature the top contenders from the China and Asia divisions. Results from these regions are pending, but the tournament is scheduled for April 18-20, providing ample time for the final teams to qualify.
